The real question is what class makes the most sense for a Sylvari born of a particular Cycle. Dawn: every profession Noon: warrior type professions Dusk: magic type professions Night: shadowy professions But in the end it doesn't really matter cause a elementalist can be secretive and a loner like a nightbloom too.
I'll begin with a disclosure: I'm an Engineer main, and I feel like we tend to be the most disgruntled with our class; so when I speak it may be from a place of bias. When I first began playing Guild Wars 2, it was in its infancy during some of the betas. During these times, classes were a lot wilder, I think, and I feel like the devs were a
Guild Wars 2 allows for a lot of flexibility and variety when it comes to playing any given class. Changing a build is easy and straightforward, with gear being the only thing that could slow down
Hey, and Welcome to GW2. The thing about this game is that it is very "alt friendly". the various classes play and feel pretty differently throughout the game modes, the reason why Guardian is popular is because it has top builds in each game mode for the current balance. Warrior is a fun "easy" class to play, and unless you
If you want to play a gunslinger, then go Thief, ideally Deadeye elite spec. That is a class specifically designed around dealing high damage with a Rifle or Pistols, in both melee and range. There are also various effective Pistol/Dagger builds if you look into condi builds. Conclusion: Play Thief.
mesmer - dual wield sword. high dps, low condi. not recommended to new players. In GW2, mesmer and engineer is the most difficult spec. Mesmer mechanic is quit different from other spec and is very different compared to other mmo. once you grasped the idea, you becone very hard to kill and dps bomber.
DH is also good. Dragon's Maw into Procession of Blades, LB5, and Sword of Justice will mop up almost anything. The traps are a little awkward in PvE and force the build to be somewhat melee similar to SB Renegade (Mallyx leap > SB3).
Skill matters a ton, with players doing magnitudes more when they can play their class well compared to the average casual player. - No subscription fee, and players who are playing when DLC (non expansion) releases come out get those DLC releases for free (historically, at least). - Very alt-friendly game.
